When dealing with the medical fees/insurance, where can I find out if Tricare (military) is accepted?
Angela Milas, RN
01:31:35
Student Health Service does not accept health insurance as we are funded by segregated fees. Many appointment types are offered at no cost and labs are offered at a very low fee.
Dianne Villalobos
01:32:01
why would you choose to just drop off
Wes Sumner
01:32:03
Thanks. Got confused when the insurance card was mentioned.
Angela Milas, RN
01:34:04
Thank you for clarifying. We encourage all students to have a copy of their insurance card in the event they would need to be seen at an area healthcare facility such as on the weekend or for an injury requiring imaging.
Kathy Klingforth
01:35:41
Is the platinum plan the same as the all access plan?
Katy Braunsky (she/her/hers)
01:35:42
You might choose to do just a drop off for a number of reasons- some families or students may have work conflicts with the actual move-in times/dates, so this is a nice option. The drop-off is an added convenience/option.
Jess
01:37:13
The platinum plan includes all access to Riverview Café.
Sheri Cohen
01:38:15
Is platinum recommended then?
Jess
01:38:39
Yes, the platinum plan is recommended as it has the most flexibility for new students
Katy Braunsky (she/her/hers)
01:39:14
Drop-Off is just brining your stuff to campus, yes. It's not a full "move-in;" rather, it is an opportunity to get the bulk of items into the space. Drop-Off isn't intended to be a time where students unpack and decorate. Decorating and unpacking should take place during the Move-In Weekend. Dropping items off early would give some added time and flexibility for the Move-In Weekend, which can feel like a lot to tackle all at once. :-)
Taylor Dahlby
01:39:59
Thanks, Ashley for including the dining meal information image above!

01:40:21
Hi Sheri- Meal Plan needs vary by student to student. This will be a great question for our students to answer about what they and their friends take into consideration when choosing a plan.

Katy Braunsky: My daughter is participating in the Freshman Connection Aug. 22-27. Will be need to come home and then come back the next day to move in the 28th or is she able to move in the 27th?
teresafoley
01:41:19
She not “be” :)
Katy Braunsky (she/her/hers)
01:42:45
Great question! She will not need to go home and come back. Freshman Connection will provide her with specific Move-In directions and information.

Katy Braunsky (she/her/hers)

do you have any vegetarian meal plan?

01:52:51
Can dorm beds be lofted ahead of time before move-in??
Brett - Blugold Central

Sheri Cohen
01:53:04
@katy we are coming from 14 hours away and won’t be there prior to the 8am move in. So can we just get right then?
Kristi
01:53:08

Brett - Blugold Central
01:54:43

Ana Rivadeneira
01:54:47
Will vaccinations for COVID be required?
Rachel Leopold
01:54:56
As someone who has lived in the residence halls for 3 years now, lofting and rearranging the room is a really easy process, especially if there is more than one person involved
Katie (she/her) - Health Educator

Hope Wachholz
01:55:40
Jay - Students who are not fully vaccinated will be required to get tested once a week if they live on campus. If they are a student that lives off campus, they should get tested every other week
